Room By The Tree Delivery Return & Refund Policy

Receiving your Delivery from Room By the Tree – When the delivery arrives, the person receiving the product must perform a piece count and check part numbers with the driver, also inspect the materials for any visible damage. Note any blemishes to the packaging on the delivery ticket before signing for the product. Please refuse any packages or shipments that have visible damage.

NOTE: The receivers’ signature on the delivery ticket certifies that all of the packages are correct and have been accounted for. Also inspected for any visible damages to the packaging. Concealed damage MUST BE REPORTED WITHIN 48 HRS to be considered for a claim.

Freight or Common Carrier Deliveries – When the delivery arrives, please inspect it carefully, note any damages to the wrap or boxes on the delivery receipt. Write “Subject to inspection” on the BOL. Refuse deliveries with obvious crush damage or holes in boxes. Warning if the BOL is signed clear, the customer is responsible for filing a claim with the carrier.

Room By the Tree is relieved of all responsibility with regards to the shipment once that Bill of Lading is signed. Returns - Customers have 45 calendar days from the date of purchase to return an item with a 15% restocking charge. To be eligible for a full refund, the item must be unused and in the original factory package.

Boxes must be clean and free from writing with all original parts and pieces and must include factory packing. If the box was opened it must be sealed with clear packing tape. In other words, it needs to look like something anyone would accept as new.

If a return is needed, please contact our communication channel on info@roombythetree.com. Drivers will not pick up any material unless the RMA has been previously approved.

Out of the box items are not eligible for returns unless agreed upon by Room By The tree and up to a 30% restocking will apply.

Refunds - Once Room By The Tree have received the item, we will inspect it and if it meets the above requirements, a credit memo will be processed memo to your account. If it does not meet the requirement, we will notify you with your options. In some cases, we can purchase a new package to make the item re-sellable. If this is the case, we will let you know the cost of the packaging and we will issue a credit less the amount of this packaging. If we are unable to make the item re-sellable, we will notify you and return the unit to you.

Shipping - The customer will be responsible for paying cost for returning the items. Shipping costs and fuel surcharges are non-refundable. If a refund is issued, the cost of shipping will be deducted from the refund.

Shipping Errors - In the case that a wrong item is received, i.e., gas type, size, etc. Room By The Tree will of course exchange it for the correct item. However, the customer must take some responsibility when receiving the product to ensure that it is the product ordered. If a wrong item is delivered, in order to receive a full refund, it must be returned unused/unopened and in the original packaging. Absolutely no refund will be issued for any item that has been installed or connected to gas.
